Farmington Hills Ice Arena Clock Operation
FHIA Hockey Score Clock
If a power failure happens during a game, or unit is Off, answer “Yes” to start where you turned off last. If starting from scratch put in model # on front/top of machine, and answer no to the other 2 questions.
Most operations of the score clock have 4 basic steps:
- Press “Set” button
- Tell the unit what function you want to do (i.e. clock, score, period, etc...)
- Specify the value
- Press “Yes”
Setting the Clock/Period
To set the game clock time:
- Press “Set”
- Press "Time"
- Enter the time using the keypad
- Press "Yes”
- Enter the period on the keypad
Setting the Score
- Press “set” “Score” button for the appropriate team (home or guest)
- Enter the score value “0” to begin
- Press "Yes"
OR to add to the current score:
- Press the "Home/Guest Score”
- Enter “1" button to add 1 to score
Clock Operation
If you are going to use the remote on/off switch, ensure it is plugged into the outlet on either side of the control, toggle the Alt Time Sw (upper left corner) to “on” and use your remote to start/stop the clock.
If you don’t want to use the remote, unplug it from the clock and use the Alt Time Sw (upper left corner) to toggled it on/off to start/stop the clock.
Managing Penalties
The penalty process has several steps. The several steps are needed to support multiple penalties. When adding or removing a penalty, watch the LCD display on the control unit. It will show you which penalty you are dealing with.
Adding a Penalty
- Press “set”
- Press the "Home Penalty” or Guest Penalty" button
- Enter the length of time for the penalty (ex = 2:00)
- Press "Yes"
- Enter the player's # on the keypad (single digit numbers nee the 0 in front ex: 03)
- Press the “Time” button to display the clock in the LED window
Removing a Penalty
- Press the "Home Penalty " or “Guest Penalty” button
- Continue to press until correct one is displayed in window (H1st, H2nd, H3rd)
- Press the "Penalty Clear" button
- Press "Yes"
- Press the “Time” button to display the clock in the LED window
